Eco-friendly Sustainable Weddings

Golden Dreams believes that the environment is important to preserve and protect.  We encourage all couples to create an event that will reduce the strain on the environment by having a sustainable wedding.  If you are concerned about the environment you can choose a traditional wedding and its traditional wastes, but offset these wastes by purchasing carbon credits or donating money to eco-friendly initiatives.  Depending on your shade of green, there are many options. Some options that are more sustainable are:

• Invitations and printed materials using recycled paper

• Purchasing do-it-yourself kits to create your own invitations

• Using the internet to send out electronic invitations

• Choose recycled, borrowed or rentals instead of single-use items

• Consider flowers that are locally sourced and in season

• Second hand or vintage dresses

• Local and organic food choices
